TLB Technique: Static Pumping
đź’¦ STATIC PUMPING
Static pumping is very similar to “sweeping” where you CONNECT & SWEEP, except you don’t follow through with your sweep. You want to connect, engage the tissue to allow for the lymphatic pull, or stretch and once you reach the resistance (the maximum stretch), you release the stretch and let the skin and TLB naturally rebound.
đź’¦ STRETCH-RELEASE-REBOUND. The key is to keep TLB connected.
This is excellent for softening stagnation, where the tissue feels gel-like or spongy, or holds a lot of tension, where the tissue feels tight and stiff.
Use caution and alter treatment if you have:
Bronchitis: don’t use directly over sternum
Menstruation: can make period heavier
Nevus (Raised Mole): work around
Low Blood Pressure: be careful of over-use, do shorter sessions
Hyperactive Thyroid: do not work on thyroid directly
Do not use if you have:
Active cancer
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
Acute infection or inflammation
