The Lymphatic Brush Overview

Lymphatic Day 1 68_crop

Necessity is the mother of all invention.

As the originator of the Gua Sha Facial Fusion continuing education course for professionals, Cecily discovered that while you can use a Gua sha stone to imitate the intrinsic movements of manual lymphatic drainage, it takes special skill and education to learn the techniques and perform them correctly.

To add to the difficulty, performing the movements on yourself is a lot different and invariably more challenging than working on a client.

Naturally, you can use your hands to manually manipulate the lymphatic vessels but, it takes a deeper understanding of the pathways, and also plenty of patience to consistently gauge and apply the correct pressure throughout your routine.

Cecily designed a tool that’s easy to use and feels good, allowing everyone to experience the benefits of lymphatic drainage no matter your skill level.

Let the tool do the work!

  • A deeper understanding of the lymphatic system isn’t necessary; just follow the drainage pathways using a light touch and allow the brush to do the rest.
  • If you are exhausted by complex and expensive skin and body care rituals, this tool is for you!
  • No special skills or additional products required.

Your skin needs less than you think. Healthy, clear and vibrant skin is a reflection of how well its functioning on the inside, so restoring inner mobility is a necessity.

To get things going, let’s start by learning to clear the clutter.

Lymphatic Drainage isn’t Gua sha or dry bushing.

Gua sha and dry brushing are both intended to stimulate circulation, which has a direct effect on the lymphatic system. However, they are entirely different techniques that require different tools in order to honor and perform each of them correctly.

The intention and techniques are vastly different.

  • Gua sha and dry brushing techniques increase blood flow and fluid into the tissue.
  • Lymphatic drainage decreases excess fluid in the tissue.

The stimulating effect of Gua sha and dry brushing on the circulatory system changes the pressure of blood flow which sends more fluid into the tissue space to be processed by the lymphatic system.

If you want to reduce puffiness and swelling, you need to focus on reducing and removing the fluid from the tissue.

Your lymphatic system keeps the fluid surrounding your cells pristine by “clearing the clutter”, allowing nutrients to reach the cell without obstruction.

The Lymphatic Brush is designed to directly and gently affect the lymph vessel system, which sits just under the surface of the skin; therefore, a light, superficial touch is required in order to avoid compressing and suppressing their function.

Meet Cecily Braden

My name is Cecily Braden, Founder of Cecily Braden Spa & Wellness Academy. Since 1994, I’ve dedicated my career to developing spa treatment protocols and comprehensive training programs along with supportive and complementary tools.

The Lymphatic Brush took me 3-years to create and after dozens of failed versions, it brings me incredible joy (and relief) to finally be able to share, learn and practice along with you.

Real People

At the age of 33 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and at 47, experienced menopause. I have an extremely active lifestyle and a business that entails long workdays and a lot of travel. Now in my 50’s, managing my stress level and chronic inflammation is essential in order to maintain mobility and be able to do what I do.

Real Results

The Lymphatic Brush is my “go to” as a quick, effective, and easy way to:

  • reduce inflammation and support my immune system
  • minimize puffiness
  • improve the health of my skin from the inside
  • maintain clear and vibrant skin
  • calm my nervous system and quiet my mind
  • improve my quality of sleep
  • aid in my recovery from cycling, exercising, or sitting at my desk

Long-term Benefits

To anyone who has ever asked me for skincare advice, my answer is always…

“Reduce inflammation and create movement to support the healthy exchange of nutrients and wastes within the tissue.”

With the Lymphatic Brush, I’m so grateful to finally have a viable tool that will help achieve that goal, and support others the way it has supported me.

I’m in it for the long-term benefits, but love the immediate results.
